This year, (Kyler Murray) has some serious firepower.

I don’t like tooting my own horn very much, but if I’m going to be honest, I knocked it out of the park last year with my fantasy football predictions. Except for Derrius Guice, but we don’t talk about Derrius Guice. This year I got some more exciting players for you that will truly put your team over the hump.

#1 Kyler Murray, QB, Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray had an okay season last year, but performed and did all that was asked of him by his coaches. This year, he has some serious firepower. With the addition of one of the best wide receivers in the game, Deandre Hopkins, and the return of Kenyan Drake who was dominant last year, the Cardinals Offense looks super scary. Another trend that’s a reason to hop on the Kyler Murray train is the Second year Quarterback effect. Two years ago, Patrick Mahomes took over in Kansas City during his second year with a revolutionary system that saw him win MVP. Last year, Lamar Jackson took over in Baltimore with a revolutionary system that saw him win MVP. This year Kyler Murray is in his second year with a revolutionary system in Arizona. While I don’t think Murray will win MVP, I certainly think he will continue this trend and produce mind boggling stats this year.

#2 T.J. Hockenson, TE, Detroit Lions

T.J. Hockenson has been grinding this offseason. He has been working out with greats such as Tony Gonzalez and seemed to recover from the injuries that plagued his rookie season. Not only is Hockenson poised to make a huge leap forward this season, but the Lions also have a healthy and dangerous wide receiving core and much more depth at the running back position than in years past. The Lions will more likely than not feature much more of Hockenson this year. His improvement and newfound skills should make him one of the rising stars of this year’s season.

#3 N’keal Harry, WR, New England Patriots

As much as it pains me to choose a Patriots player to be on my fantasy team, N’keal Harry is in a favorable position with the Patriots. He and Julian Edelman are the only reliable targets on the roster. For most secondaries, that means the game plan to stop the Patriots is going to be to contain Julian Edelman, leaving Harry with lighter coverage. Last year, Tom Brady threw away the most passes in the League because of his lack of trust in his receivers. Cam Newton is different. He has to go into New England, make bonds, and establish himself as a leader, which means he has to trust his receivers. Look for the Patriots to spread the ball around more this season, especially to N’keal Harry.
